21. Mariah Dayton Vaughn Home, 808 Thomas (original home torn down). Purchased January 31, 1876 from Samuel and Nanny Woods; Mariah sued the Woods and won a property damage lawsuit March 13, 1878. Justice of Peace Joseph B. Evans (see stop 14), Marshall of the Weston Court of Commons Pleas (see stop 27), signed the Marshall Deed. Historian Carolyn A. Bless Larsen, author of We, Too, Lived, resided here until her death in 2018.
