Stop 30. United Methodist Church
533 Main, established in 1838. Building began in 1859 but delayed by Civil War. Methodists split over the issue of slavery, and Weston Methodist affiliated with the South. Completed in 1867, the building includes a Colored section balcony. The church has provided office space for the Black Ancestors Awareness Campaign since its inception in 2021. (See stops 10, 23)
