8. Site of James and Annie Spotts Williams Home, 520 Spring, original stone wall remains. Annie's parents, born into slavery, purchased the home of log, stone, and tarpaper in 1898. Annie attended the Bethune School (See stop 22), graduated high school in Kansas City, returned to Weston and was employed at Schindler's Grocery. James and Annie lived here until they died in 1970 and 1971, respectively.
